Today, the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi has announced the new budget selfie-centric smartphone with Al feature in China called Redmi S2. The new Xiaomi Redmi S2 almost looks like Redmi Note 5, same tall screen and identical dual camera positioning. It features a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with artificial intelligence and soft LED flash for better low-light selfies. The Redmi S2 price starts from CNY 999 (10,500 INR) for the 3GB variant. Initially, the smartphone launched in China only but we expect that the Xiaomi will soon launch the Redmi S2 in Indian Market.
Xiaomi Redmi S2 Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 has a gigantic 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) 2.5D curved display. The display has minimal bezels with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Xiaomi’s favorite Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2GHz with Adreno 506. The device comes in two variants 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The smartphone comes with a dedicated micro-SD slot from which you can expand storage up to 256GB. It has two micro sim slot separately.
Talking about the camera, the Redmi S2 sports a dual rear camera setup combination of 12MP and 5MP with a LED flash between the camera setup. At the front, the smartphone has a 16-MP camera that supports Al beauty features and pixel binning technology.
The smartphone packs a 3080 mAh Li-Po battery. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, infrared port, FM Radio, USB 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has dimensions 160.7 x 77.2 x 8.1 mm and weighs 170grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 has been priced at CYN 999 (Approx 10,585 INR) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and CYN 1299 (Approx 13,764 INR) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Suning.com and it has 3 color variants Rose Gold, Champagne Gold and Platinum Silver.
