Moto Z3 Play with Moto Mods, Snapdragon 636, 18:9 AMOLED Display Launched: Price, Specifications

After spreading many rumors of the Moto Z3 Play, the device has finally launched. Moto Z3 continues the same user experience by providing the Moto Mods. The previous devices of Z series had a single rear camera but this Moto Z3 has a dual rear camera setup. It offers gesture control like iPhone X which is controlled by One Button Nav bar and Moto actions. A Moto Mod power pack is also provided to extends its battery life as long as 40 hours on a single charge.

An aluminum frame of 6000 series is used to build the new Moto Z3 Play which has a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating. It has a gesture controls like iPhone X which are enabled by the One Button Nav bar present at the bottom. Like previous Moto devices, it also has Moto display and Moto Actions. It supports USB Type-C and has a 3.55mm jack for headsets.

As its a latest device, it runs on latest Android version i.e. Android 8.1 Oreo and it has a dual-SIM (Nano) slot. It is powered by one of the known processors Snapdragon 636 SoC (Octa-core) which is coupled with Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It has 32GB and 64GB storage options and storage can expandable up to 2TB via microSD. For protecting the device screen, it has 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3. It has a 6.01-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Super AMOLED display with 79 percent screen-to-body ratio with an 18:9 Max Vision aspect ratio.

Moto Z3 Play comes with rear dual camera setup which comprises a 16-megapixel primary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor, sporting Dual Autofocus Pixel (pDAF) technology with dual LED flash. The front camera is 8-megapixel with aperture f/2.0 and 84-degree lens. The rear camera also supports the AI technology and also supports Google Lens.

The Moto Z3 Play has a 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n Dual Band, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C as connectivity. There’s no 3.5mm audio jack in this smartphone. The Moto Z3 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and proximity sensor present in the device. The Moto Z3 backed by a 3000mAh battery with TurboCharge support.

Moto Z3 Play Price & Availability

The Moto Z3 Play comes in Deep Indigo color and is priced at Rs. 2,299 Brazilian Real (~ Rs. 40,000). The Moto Z3 bundled with a battery Moto Mod worth $499 (~Rs. 33,000) for free along with the retail box. The device will be rolled out globally late this month starting from Brazil.
