Chinese technology giant Xiaomi is now preparing to open its offline retail store known as Mi Home Delhi after Bangalore now. The company has already opened 3 Mi Home stores in Bangalore. Xiaomi’s Vice President and country head Manu Kumar Jain have said that Delhi NCR will get the first Mi Home on August 19. It will be started in Gurgaon at Ambience Mall.
It is worth mentioning that this Mi Home Delhi store will start from 10 a.m. on August 19th. In the initial days, the company hopes that there will be a lot of rush, so Xiaomi has adopted the pre-booking method. Pre-booking has started on the company’s official website to visit the store.
Significantly, the company has planned to open 100 Mi Home offline stores throughout the country in the upcoming two years. Since Oppo and Vivo are outperforming Xiaomi in the offline market, now offline availability has become the need of Xiaomi.
Manu Kumar Jain has said, “We have started an off-line business in an unmatched way from the first quarter of this year. Apart from company’s own Mi Home stores we also have offline retail partners.”
According to Xiaomi, products in the Mi Home will not be out of stock. If the product is not available, then the customers are given F-code through which they can buy products from the website with a guarantee.
Oppo and Vivo are facing the significant losses from Xiaomi’s offline business. According to reports, a massive decline of about 30 percent reported in both the companies in Indian smartphone market in July. Experts believe that this decline in sales is due to Xiaomi’s offline strategy. Because Xiaomi is emerging as a popular brand in India and recently the company has announced that its Redmi Note 4 has become the best selling smartphone in India.
