LG V30 with 6-inch POLED Display, 4GB RAM, IP68, Dual Camera’s Launched

LG has launched its new flagship dual camera smartphone, the LG V30 at IFA 2017 in Berlin. The LG V30 features a unibody design, IP 68 certified for dust/water proof, MIL-STD 810G rating for durability and improved dual camera setup on the rear. The LG V30 will go on sale from September 21 in company’s home country South Korea.

The UK Carphone Warehouse mentions its price at Euro 900 and global availability yet not confirmed. Along with LG V30 model, LG has also announced the LG V30+ with more storage capacity i.e 128GB. The LG V30 is directly competing with Galaxy Note 8 and upcoming iPhone 8.

Display

The LG V30 sports a 6-inch QHD + (2880 x 1440) POLED FullVision display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection and HDR10 support. The smartphone houses with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-Core SoC clocked at 4×2.45 GHz and 4×1.9 GHz with Adreno 540 GPU. The smartphone has come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable to 256GB via micro-SD card. LG has also announced the LG V30+ with 128GB storage.

Camera

Coming to the camera, the LG V30 comes with an improved version of dual camera setup at the rear. The 16-megapixels main camera comes with f/1.7 aperture, 3-axis OIS, laser, and phase detection autofocus. The other 13-megapixels sensor comes with 120-degree wide angle lens with a f/1.9 aperture with dual tone LED flash. On the front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie shooter with 1/5-inch sensor size and f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera capable to shoot 4K at 30fps and 720p at 120fps.

Connectivity and Battery

As expected the LG V30 comes with a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC manufactured by Bang & Olufsen (B&O). The smartphone runs on LG UX 6.0+ based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box. The phone bears a 3300mAh non-removable battery with quick charge 3.0 support.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, USB 3.1 Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors include Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, color spectrum. The LG V30 comes in two colors Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue.
