Huawei CEO Richard Yu took the curtain off from the company’s new flagship smartphone Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro. In the launch event, the company compared the two new smartphones with Apple’s recently launched iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus in the presentation. Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro comes with extremely thin bezel displays. The company claims that there are several such features that make them better than the iPhone X of about 1 lakh INR price. Apart from this, the Huawei Mate 10 Porche Design was also introduced, with specifications matching the Mate 10 Pro.

Huawei Mate 10 has a 5.9-inch Quad HD resolution (1440×2560 pixels) LCD display. At the same time, Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with an OLED display of 6-inch size Full HD+ with a resolution (1080×2160 pixels). Both screens are being called as Full View displays. The screen is designed keeping in mind those who watch the videos a lot.
Both smartphones come with Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The company says that this is the first smartphone chipset that comes with Neural network Processor Unit. Some similar claims have already been made. Chipsets support many Artificial Intelligence features, such as better selfie and Bokeh effect in pictures.
The CEO of the company even said that the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset is so powerful that if the user connects his device to a monitor, it will start working as a personal computer.
Both Huawei smartphones, Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will boast with 4000 mAh battery. Despite this the phones are thinner than the iPhone X. Huawei Mate 10 offers 64 GB storage with 4 GB of RAM. Huawei Mate 10 Pro has two variants – 128GB storage with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with 4GB RAM. It is possible to increase inbuilt storage up to 256 GB via microSD card only in Huawei Mate 10. But Huawei Mate 10 Pro does not have support for MicroSD card.
Huawei Mate 10 and Huawei Mate 10 Pro runs on Android 8.0 based on EMUI 8.0. These dual SIM smartphones also have NFC support. The Mate 10 has a 3.5mm headphone jack, while the Mate 10 Pro does not have.

Huawei has partnered with industry-leading photography brand Leica to give ultimate photography experience on both the smartphones. Mate 10 Pro has two rear cameras with the setup of primary 12-megapixel RGB sensor equipped with a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor. It is interesting to know that Huawei has given an aperture of f/1.6 on both rear camera sensors. The front panel has a fixed focus camera of 8 megapixels. In Huawei Mate 10 you will get a camera setup same as with a Mate 10 Pro. The fingerprint sensor on Huawei Mate 10 is given on front side whereas, it is present on the backside of Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro Price and Availability:
Huawei Mate 10 is priced at 699 Euros (about Rs 53,400) and Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at 799 Euros (about Rs 61,000) and the company also introduced Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design. This is the special variant of Huawei Mate 10 Pro. There is only one color variant for this special edition phone, i.e. Diamond Black Color and it will only have 6GB of RAM and 256GB storage variant. Porsche Design variant will be sold at price of 1,395 Euros (about Indian Rs 1,06,600).
