Entry-Level Nokia 2 Smartphone Launched in India with 4100mAh Battery

HMD Global as expected announced the entry-level smartphone Nokia 2 in India at an event in New Delhi. The main highlight of this smartphone is its massive 41000mAh battery and the company claims that it can deliver 2 days of battery life with regular use. The Nokia 2 comes with 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top as well.

The device is powered by very basic Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz with Adreno 304 GPU. Although Nokia 2 comes with very basic specifications like it has only 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage, the storage can be expandable up to 128GB via separate SD card slot.

This is a dual Nano-SIM device and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, also company promises to upgrade it to Android 8.0 Oreo. The Nokia 2 has an 8-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus and LED flash. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video chat.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB 2.0. The smartphone will be available in three color variants Black, White, and Copper.

However, the pricing of Nokia 2 for the Indian market has not been revealed yet but the global price is at 99 EURO (approx Rs. 7500). The headset will hit the stores from mid-November.
